Slack Post Message
ivy.node.slack-post-message · v0.1.0
ivyx✓
Posts a message to a Slack channel as the firm's Slack app, through a Slack connection: plain text with Slack's own formatting (*bold*, <https://x|links>), optionally in a thread. The channel is its id (C…) or its name; the app must be in a private channel. A person outside the flow reads it, so the house rules can hold it for approval (message-send).
Inputs
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| connectionrequired | Not declared | The Slack account as the stored secret connection.<id>, which IVYX Flows keeps and any other host reads as an ordinary stored secret of that name. |
| channelrequired | string | The channel: its id (C…), or its name (general or #general). |
| textrequired | string | The message, in Slack's formatting; the notification text when blocks are given. |
| thread_ts | string | Answer in this message's thread: its ts. |
| blocks | array | Block Kit blocks, for a message laid out as cards. |
| unfurl_links | boolean | Show a preview of the first link. |
Outputs
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| channelrequired | string | The channel's id. |
| tsrequired | string | The message's ts, which names it in Slack: a reply's thread_ts. |
| thread_ts | string | The thread it went in, when it did. |
| textrequired | string | The text sent. |
