Browser

Open a web page in a tab inside IVYX Studio, so trying what you just started does not mean leaving the app.

What you can do

• Click a http://localhost:… link in the terminal and the page opens in a tab next to your files; hold Cmd or Ctrl while clicking to use the system browser instead
• Run a local model from the Models or AI Cores panel and open its web interface from the row's menu
• Type any address from the command palette with Browser: Open URL…; the prompt remembers the last one you opened
• Go back, forward and reload from the row above the page; the address follows the links you click
• Open the page's own Developer Tools from the same row, on the desktop app; copy the address or hand it to the system browser from the ⋯

Notes and limits

• On the desktop app the page runs in a browser view of its own, so history, the address and Developer Tools are the page's. In the browser edition it is shown in a frame: the row shows the address that was opened, Back and Forward stay off, and Reload returns to that address
• A tab keeps its identity across the addresses it visits; opening an address that is already showing brings that tab forward
• Only http and https pages open here
• On the desktop app the page's own "do not embed me" headers are set aside, because the frame is your own window. In the browser edition they are not, so a page that forbids embedding stays blank; open it externally from the row above
• This needs IVYX Studio 1.0.33 or later; an older build refuses the frame and the tab tells you to update

Getting started

Start your dev server in the terminal and click the address it prints, or open the command palette and choose Browser: Open URL….
