Write, keep and switch the skills an agent follows, for one project or for every one
Skills
A skill is a written procedure an agent loads before a task it covers: how this team commits, how a pipeline is set up here, what a review checks. This panel is where you write your skills, keep them for one project or for every one, and switch them off.
What you can do
- Write a skill for this project, kept in the repository so your team shares it
- Write a skill of your own that every workspace of yours offers
- Attach a template, a checklist or an example the agent reads when the instructions send it there
- Import a skill folder written for another tool, as it is
- Limit the tools an agent may use while a skill is active
- Read a skill exactly as a model receives it before you rely on it
- Turn a skill off without deleting it
- Copy a skill an extension ships and make it your own
- Move an older skill into a folder of its own, and convert one written before SKILL.md
- Try a skill in the chat
When two skills share a name, the project's is used before yours, and yours before an extension's; the panel marks which one a run gets.
Requirements
IVYX Studio 1.0.57 or later. Skills of your own need a desktop or terminal host; in the browser a skill lives in the project.
Getting started
Open Skills from the activity bar and press + for a skill in this project, or the person icon for one of your own. Give it a name, one sentence on what it is for, and the steps; save, then press the eye to read it as a model will.
For agents and automation
Every action is a governed capability: skills.list, skills.get, skills.save, skills.remove (asks a person), skills.setEnabled, skills.move, skills.convert and skills.install (asks a person). A skill is a SKILL.md, the format other agent tools share: a project's skills live in .punica/skills/<name>/SKILL.md beside their files, and .punica/skills/skills.yaml lists the ones turned off.
